Reasons to Consider a Prepaid Cell Phone

In the United States, it is the norm to sign up with a cell phone company, maybe receive a discounted phone, and pay a standard monthly fee plus other taxes, mysterious fees, and overage minutes.

The two-year contract thing is pretty much the norm in the States as well.  Many people are starting to see the value of the pay as you go method and opt for prepaid cell phones.

One big reason people are starting to look in the direction of a pay as you go mobile phone plan is there is no commitment and no contract.  Did you hear that?  No contract.

That means no $200 payment to get out of your contract.  No hassling to change your monthly payment.  The feeling of freedom and the disgust many people have for their cell phone providers encourages people to go this different route.

Other people may want to purchase a prepaid cell phone because they have credit problems and cannot sign a contract with companies like Verizon or AT&T.  There are no contracts with many of the pay as you go mobile companies, so this situation can be avoided.

Many people like the fact that they don’t have to pay for minutes they don’t use in a month.  Say you use two hundred minutes one month, and one thousand the next.  For each month, on a prepaid plan, you will pay the same price for each minute used.  The price doesn’t change as you hit or surpass certain minute limits.

In Europe, the prepaid model is very popular.  It’s also getting more and more utilized in the U.S. as people start to see that they don’t have to be contractually bound to a company in order to talk on a cell phone.

The best thing to do is look at your situation and see if you use all the minutes for which you pay.  Look at your bills for the past few months (you may be able to do this online).  Do you fall far under your minutes one month and go way over your limitations some other months?

If you do, you may want to look at a few prepaid cell phones and get a little more freedom and flexibility.  Do what works for you.  Don’t just sign a contract–no matter how fancy that brand new phone they dangle in your face may look. Going with a prepaid cell phone service might just be the option you’re looking for.

    1.Please inform me could I use this prepaid T-Mobile Cell Phone in overseas/Asia?
    2.Any additional cost over there?
    3.Any Connection fee?
    4.Should I use the card in one time all of it or
    just a short time then other day short time again?
    5.After I use for awhile then the next everyday day I will lost the value? (As other phonecard?)
