The Jitterbug phone is at the top of the list of prepaid phones for seniors, but there are several other senior cell phone options.
The Jitterbug, made by Samsung, comes in two handset styles: the dial and the one-touch. The dial has a full keypad for dialing phone numbers, while the one-touch has three simple buttons primarily for emergency use. With this phone, you have the added bonus of being able to contact a live operator who can access your contact list and help you get in touch with who you need to get in touch with.
Other simplified options are ClarityLife, Knack, and Pantech Breeze from AT&T. These are very basic, simple types of phones that are built pretty much for just talking, for a customer who probably is not that interested in text messaging or surfing the internet on their phone.
There are a lot of plans out there that are economical, prepaid, and offer simple handsets and simplified plans that make sense for seniors. Do your research and talk to your friends about their experiences. This should help you make a decision. Also, read a Jitterbug phone review and other reviews on my site to get a sample of what’s out there.
