Prepaid cell phones have begun to get very popular in the United States, not only for the fact that people are looking for ways to save money, but also because this type of phone gives you more control over your cell phone.
For instance, you decide how many minutes you pay for–that’s a great option. Otherwise, on a monthly contract plan, you are forced to pay for the same amount of minutes every single month. When you are finished with your talk time, on a prepaid phone you can always buy more. Another great thing is that you never have any kind of termination fee because there is no contract involved, nor is there a necessary credit check.
Prepaid to many seems like maybe a European thing or something that people who don’t qualify for a standard phone plan have to resort to, but this is not the case at all and many consumers are beginning to see that there may be great benefits to the pay as you go system.
This is a video I found that basically sums up what you get with a prepaid plan, some of your options, and the type of wireless user who would most benefit. Prepaid is not for people who text a lot and stay on their phone for hours a day. It’s more an option for people who use their wireless handset more sparingly, but there may be an awesome offer out there for you that will make you happy as well as put some extra money in your pocket at the end of the month.
