Don’t think that MetroPCS is going to sit around and do nothing while Boost and Cricket launch their fancy prepaid cell phones: they have a plan of their own in mind.
MetroPCS plans on launching the Samsung r810 Finesse, a pretty fancy touchscreen phone. It includes GPS and Bluetooth, microSD expansion up to 16GB, full HTML browser, and a 2 megapixel camera to boot.
It seems similar to the Samsung Instinct, which got quite positive reviews after its release last year. As with Cricket, Metro hasn’t put a date on the release. However, it should go for $300+ or so once it’s ready. We’d guess mid-summer as a probable release date.
