If you’re currently in the market for a new cell phone, one of the companies on my radar is Straight Talk Wireless, which is actually an extension of TracFone, along with Net10. Straight Talk has a new Android phone out right now that works with the Unlimited prepaid plan from Straight Talk. The Samsung Precedent is probably the best deal from Straight Talk right now. At just under $150, the phone is less expensive than the other smart phones available right now. Learn more at the official site or read my review of the phone here.
These might not look like the fanciest phones on the planet, but they’re the first Samsung ones offered by Tracfone, a prepaid cell phones company.
The T301g is a slider phone with Bluetooth and a VGA camera. It will retail at around $50. The T101g has no special features, though the price is very special at just $15. Both phones are to appear in retail channels within the next few weeks or so.
More choice in the prepaid cell phone market is a good thing, and Tracfone is providing just that. It seems we’ve been highlighting new cell phone model choices in the prepaid market more and more the last week or so, and vendors seem to be picking up on the fact that with the economic climate the way it is, prepaid is appearing more and more attractive to customers.
