Boost Mobile has done very well with their $50 unlimited plan, and on the heels of that success, they plan on opening 50 new retail stores by the end of this year.
Their new unlimited plan has caused their subscriber count to surge, and they’re looking to increase their visibility by opening larger and more visible stores for their prepaid cell phones. It’s an interesting strategy at a time when many stores and companies are looking to downsize existing retail outlets, but the company is confident about the success of their product, apparently.
No word on where the stores will be located, but nationwide would be a very safe bet. It’s good to see a company growing, rather than shrinking, in these tough economic straits.
