The new Jitterbug J being released soon is Samsung’s attempt to update the phone and add more features and performance improvements, minus the “feature creep” that has haunted other phones. It has added Bluetooth and slicked up the design a bit too.
The feature set has been carefully tailored to its primary market, such as unlimited calls to a live nurse any time of night or day for only $4 a month, for example.
The new model also adds call waiting and texting that you can type (formerly just canned responses) and later on, a calendar will be added too. The display screen is a little bigger as well, and you have more options to turn on or off certain features.
The Jitterbug J isn’t for power prepaid cell phones users, but we’d safely say it’s the perfect cell phone for an older user who doesn’t want or need all the fancy features of a typical cell phone.
The voice plans are simple: $15 a month for 50 anytime minutes to $80 a month for 1,000 anytime minutes. Texts are only 10 cents each. Learn more about the Jitterbug J.
