Prepaid phone provider MetroPCS is offering a plan to its customers that allows them to have unlimited international calling to at least 100 countries. The total cost of the add-on plan is $5.
In order to qualify for this plan, MetroPCS subscribers need to already have an unlimited national calling plan that costs at least $40.
MetroPCS has been competing mainly with the other prepaid wireless carriers, but this move that makes international calling so much cheaper may make the company more competitive with other traditional wireless carriers. Read more.
