Many people have begun to appreciate the value of prepaid cell phones. With the recent release of many unlimited prepaid plans from various companies, there are quite a few affordable (cheap even!) plans available.
A few of the most attractive plans available are from the TracFone offshoot, Straight Talk. There are two Straight Talk plans available. One is an unlimited plan, which costs $45. With this plan, Straight Talk subscribers receive unlimited talk time, text messaging, and ample data usage for storage and web surfing.
The $30 Straight Talk plan, which is perhaps even more attractive, gives customers the use of 1,000 minutes of talk time, 1,000 text messages, and plenty of data usage. For the price of $30, this is a very good deal–especially if you use under 1,000 minutes per month. 1,000 text messages (both sent and received) equals 33 per day with this plan, which should be ample for most cell phone users.
Also keep in mind that with a Straight Talk prepaid plan (as with most prepaid plans), you don’t have to sign a contract, undergo a credit check, or have any commitment whatsoever with the company, other than your investment in a cell phone handset and your monthly fees. For prepaid cell phoness, you generally “pay as you go,” which means you pay before you use the service.
The prepaid market has undergone some serious changes in recent times as people have started to see prepaid phones as a good option for their wireless communication needs. In times where people want to trim the fat off their bills, there has been room for prepaid wireless companies to come in and get some more customers. By not only offering cheaper plans, but by also increasing services, which is something Straight Talk has done, prepaid providers have created a favorable market for themselves.
Things are getting more competitive in the cell phone services market. In fact, a few days ago Sprint announced that it will be giving its users unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling–regardless of what mobile carrier the other caller has. This is pretty big news and is possibly a response to some of the deals brought to fruition by the smaller prepaid phone service companies like Tracfone and Boost Mobile.
For $30, the Straight Talk plan is a very good deal. The phones on the Straight Talk network retail from $29.99 to $144.99, so you can find yourself a decent deal on the lower end phones that are offered. In addition to the 1,000 minutes and text messages, customers also receive unlimited information calls (411) and substantial data usage.
Visit the Straight Talk website for more information about this plan.
If you need the heftier plan, it is only $15 more and will provide you with unlimited phone use. This is still a good deal, and one that has gotten quite a bit more attention than the less costly alternative. Both are very attractive plans and might be good options to consider. But there are quite a few other plans out there fighting for your attention. Specifically, Boost Mobile’s Monthly Unlimited plan (which is a little bit more expensive at $50) and MetroPCS prepaid unlimited plans.
Still, in comparing these plans against one another in terms of service, cost, and network coverage, it’s clear that Straight Talk’s plans are the best in the business.

Forget Page Plus unless you like going to exotic locations to see vist their retail stores.
Do make sure you have company when you go there and it’s not at night, either. You’ll get to see some historic old sights in your community, however. LOL.
