MetroPCS Unveils New Unlimited Prepaid Plan: Wireless For All

MetroPCS seemed to beat around the bush over the past year in terms of what direction it wanted to take its line of prepaid phone plans.

Well, now MetroPCS has taken decisive action and has revamped its prepaid plans.

The base level plan starts at $40 for unlimited talk, text, and web access.  Plans go up from there to $45, $50, to $60.  There is also a smartphone option at the $50 monthly price point.

MetroPCS struggled last year to gain new subscribers as competition stiffened.  The main culprits are Straight Talk (TracFone) and Boost Mobile (Sprint/Nextel).  This year will probably be better for the wireless company.
