You get the free talk time with the purchase of ANY Net10 phone. Net10 specializes in the lower end of the market, meaning people who don’t use expensive, feature-rich phones, but just want to use their phone for basic communication.
There are quite a few phones in the Net10 lineup ranging in price and functionality. Starting at the LG100, which costs around $25, and moving up to the Samsung T401G ($79.99) and the Samsung R355c ($99).
Net10 phones are a perfect fit for you if you use around 200 to 300 minutes of talk time per month. If you use a lot more than that, Net10 may not make sense.
