MetroPCS Gets the BlackBerry Curve 8530

metropcs blackberry 8530 phonePrepaid wireless company MetroPCS will be adding the BlackBerry Curve 8530 cell phone to its lineup, replacing the older BlackBerry Curve 8330.

This is good news for BlackBerry users who like having the prepaid option.  MetroPCS has some competitive plans that are worth looking at.

The new Curve 8530 should be released by MetroPCS in a few weeks, but for now we know that there will be a $50 rebate Visa card that can be spent anywhere.  The phone will cost $279 and will work on MetroPCS‘ AWS network.  See all the new prepaid phones available at MetroPCS

MetroPCS, which you may know from the recent ubiquitous commercials, is a pretty well known company and is very popular in certain parts of the country.  It’s making a play to get bigger and just might pull it off.  I’m a fan of the Samsung Caliber.

But competition is stiff.  Still, it’s always good to have another company to compare to the other deals out there.
