One of the best phones that Straight Talk Wireless has in its roster of prepaid phones is the Samsung r451c. The r451c has a nice look and all the things you might need out of a basic prepaid phone.
Samsung r451c Features
This phone has mobile web access, a 1.3 megapixel camera (which isn’t incredible, but it is enough to get the kind of pictures you want from a cell phone), and an mp3 player.
Samsung r451c also has a full qwerty slider keyboard, bluetooth wireless technology, hands-free speaker, a phone book with 500 entries, caller picture ID (which I think is a very nice touch), and the phone is even hearing aid compatible.
To round out the options you get with this phone, you of course get voicemail and call waiting. To see all the details about this phone at the official website, click here.
Straight Talk Prepaid Plan Details
Straight Talk’s Samsung r451c can be used with both of the prepaid plans that the company offers. The first plan is the 1,000 minute, 1,000 text plan, which is referred to as the “All You Need” plan since this plan will give most users all the options they need out of a prepaid phone. It costs $30 per month.
This plan also comes with 30 mb of mobile web access for web browsing, which is a nice addition to the plan.
The second plan the Samsung r451c will work with is Straight Talk’s Unlimited plan, which at $45 per month, is still very affordable. This plan, as the name suggests, gives you unlimited use of talk time, text messaging, and web browsing. In addition, both plans give you unlimited 411 calling. Again, nice touch.
Will Straight Talk Phones Work for You?
If you are looking at prepaid plans and trying to figure out which one is best for you, Straight Talk should be one that you consider (along with the Samsung r451c). There are other nice phones to choose from, like the Samsung r355c pictured on the left, and the Samsung Finesse.
But, I would never suggest that you purchase one plan over another because there is simply no way for me to know exactly what you need out of your phone (how many minutes, texts, what region you’re in), but in general, the plans from Straight Talk are a good value and are worth looking at. Besides, the company claims that many people save up to $850 a year by using Straight Talk phones.
Another thing to know about Straight Talk is that its phones run on Verizon’s network, which means fewer dropped calls and better service.
