New Sprint-owned prepaid wireless brand, Common Cents Mobile, has been expanded into 500 more Wal-Mart locations across the United States, which means there is a good chance that your local Wal-Mart now has one more line of affordable prepaid phone plans for you to choose from.
Common Cents made a little bit of a splash when if was released in May with its feature of minutes rounding down instead of up. For instance, if you talk for 2 and 1/3 minutes to your friend, you only pay for 2 minutes. And each minute only costs 7cents.
And since Common Cents is a prepaid wireless brand, there are no contracts to sign and no commitments of any kind (well, no commitments above and beyond the purchase of the phone and the initial minutes you buy–there’s always some kind of commitment).
For this reason, you can immediately and pretty easily use your phone to make 7-cent per minute calls and 7-cent per message text messages.
After what seems to be a successful run with the Straight Talk brand of prepaid phone, Wal-Mart looks to be expanding its offerings and is considerably expanding its sales of this newer brand.
