Money-Saving Straight Talk Cell Phones On Sale

Get the brand new Straight Talk Android phone known as LG Optimus Black.  LG Optimus Q is another ST phone that runs on the unlimited plan, but the Black is probably the better buy.  It’s a nicer phone with a great camera and a gorgeous touch screen.  Get this phone at StraightTalk.com

Cell phones have become an integral part of out personal as well as professional lives. While cell phones have become important, not everyone can invest in an expensive cell phone or a postpaid plan.

To combat this, the cell phone companies launched prepaid or pay as you go plans, where a user could buy a cell phone and then buy the number of minutes and services that they would want to use as they exhaust them. Straight Talk is one of the newest and most affordable prepaid services around.

Here are the salient features of Straight Talk Cell Phones:

Free Activation: While most prepaid and postpaid plans charge an activation fee, Straight Talk does not.  It offers free activation for all its users.

Verizon Network: It’s interesting that this prepaid company utilizes the Verizon prepaid network in some parts of the country.  As you may know, Verizon has the strongest network in the country, so this is a good thing.  Read also about the Verizon Unlimited plan.

Cheaper Cell Phones: Straight Talk offers three different models of cell phones, two from Motorola and one from LG. These phones offer very basic features and functions, and therefore would not cost too much for the user.  These phones are perfect for those who do not want to spend too much on their phones or require too many features.

straight talk prepaid phonesFreebies: The pay as you go plan includes thousand minutes, thousand multimedia messages, thirty megabytes of data, and unlimited calls to 411, at a flat rate of thirty dollars. There is a lot of downloadable stuff available for the cell phones, and one can get the latest ringtones, games, screensavers, themes, etc. for their devices.  The other features available are caller ID and voice mail functionality.

One disadvantage of prepaid cell phone plans is that the per call rate is slightly higher as compared to the postpaid plans. However, with the right kind of service, features, etc, the user may find some deals that work out cheaper than a postpaid plan.  This is the case with Straight Talk, which provides a 1,000 minute, 1,000 text plan for $30 as well as an unlimited plan for $45–yes, that’s right, for $45 you get unlimited voice, text, and web browsing.

Flexibility for Refill: There are two simple ways to refill the plan when you exhaust your minutes. You can either opt in for an auto refill when your account is exhausted, or you can refill it on demand.

Straight Talk also offers quite good voice and connectivity features, and it is works out as one of the better options for people looking out for a cheap cell phone service on a budget. There are several advantages that a prepaid plan has over a postpaid plan, which makes it quite cheap. For example, when it comes to prepaid cell phones, they work out cheaper because they do not offer several services – which might not be as useful as you would like them to be – as add ons as compulsory add ons.

Prepaid phones also work out cheaper because of the simple fact that one can refill and activate them whenever they want, and not at the end of the month. Therefore, if a person does not want to use a particular connection at a time, they can simply not refill it, and then refill it when they want to. In the case of a postpaid or a monthly plan, the user has to pay the bill for the entire month, even if they use it for just a few days of the month.  Straight Talk has quite a few phones to choose from.  You can decide upon the unlimited prepaid plan or the $30 1,000 minute/text plan.  The phones range from cheap flip phones to Android high end phone.  See them all at the official site.

I don’t think people realize how much money they can save with Straight Talk and still get essentially the same features as the contract plans but without an annoying contract and small print. That is if you’re looking for a way to tighten up then get rid of that contract.
