Consumer Cellular’s Doro Phone for Seniors
Posted by admin in consumer cellular on October 26, 2009
Consumer Cellular is now competing directly with Jitterbug for the senior cell phone market. The company released two new Doro phones that whose large, easy to use features may appeal to older cell phone users.
The Doro PhoneEasy 345 costs $40 plus a $35 activation fee (I hate those), while the Doro PhoneEasy 410 runs $40 plus the pesky activation fee. Consumer Cellular services start at 10 bucks a month and go up from there. It is a MVNO provider on AT&T’s network.
Doro is a Sweden-based company and has built these two phones with the needs of seniors in mind. Some features of these phones are the following.
- SMS Text messaging
- Emergency text messaging alerts
- Large buttons on the keypad
- Easy to read screen
- Simple bar-style phone
