Straight Talk Wireless Runs on Verizon’s Network

One of the strength’s of Straight Talk Wireless’ prepaid service is the fact that its two plans run on the Verizon prepaid network.

Verizon has the strongest network in the country, so this is a definite strength for Straight Talk and helps it edge out a lot of the competition in the pay as you go market.

Straight Talk has two plans that have been winning quite a few customers over the past year or so.  One is the “All You Need” $30 plan, which comes with 1,000 minutes of talk and 1,000 text messages.

The $45 Unlimited plan is extremely competitive, both in price and in what it offers subscribers.  You get unlimited talk, text, web browsing, and 411 calls.

This smartphone is a far cry from the prepaid phones we tend to write about here, but in the interest of keeping up with the wireless industry, we figured we’d let you in on this pretty sweet looking phone.

Verizon Promotes Prepaid Wireless Service in Fun Way

According to Prepaid Reviews, Verizon wireless is promoting its prepaid phone services in a fun way.  Verizon hired a fleet of cabs in New York City to give people $.99 rides.  In a tough economy, this is one way to get people’s attention–give them something.

Next up, Verizon will be giving away Mr. Softee ice cream for $.99.  These guys know how to party don’t they.  This is a great way to get people to talk about your product, however, I don’t see many people switching to Verizon’s prepaid wireless services just as a result of a goodwill campaign such as this.  But then again, Verizon is a huge company with vast resources, so this is just a very minor part in its campaign to own a tiny little piece of the consumer mind.

Sounds scary, doesn’t it?  When “V” is ready to make a major prepaid play, I’m sure it will be ready.
